The intrepid fund-raisers from Grad Central overcame gale force winds and heavy rain that engulfed Birmingham last Friday night to raise £440.14 for St Basils, the region's charity for homeless young people. Lucy, Vanessa, Jen and Matt from the Grad Central team spent the night in the wind and rain under the shelter of cardboard boxes alongside other professionals from across Birmingham to raise money for this worthy cause.
Sleep Out co-ordinator Steve Rainbow said, “The St Basil’s City Slickers Sleep Out was a huge success." Jen Caswell, candidate resourcer from our team was enthused by the work of the charity, "I never realised what great work St Basil's does to help young people across the city. Birmingham has one of the lowest homeless rates of young people of any city across the UK and the work of St Basil's is a key reason for this."
