This is a permanent position for an experienced developer based in the West Midlands area, offering a salary of £24 -26,000 p.a. plus benefits. Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
* You will be part of a small team developing new and maintaining existing applications both in house and from our client portfolio.
* This role requires you have at least 2 - 4 years of software development experience using Microsoft products and technologies.
* You should also have very strong experience in classic ASP and VB.Net/ASP.Net and MS SQL Server.
* You must have good verbal and written skills; proactive attitude; and work well under pressure.
* Contribute to technical set-up and execution for specific project areas i.e. estimating, planning, and delivery.
* Structure and deliver work results against defined standards.
* Develop technical specifications based on functional requirements.
* Establish test plans describing test environment and expected results.
* Interact with business clients and project leaders.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
* 1+ year's experience as an analyst programmer.
* Commercial experience of development with UML and .Net Technologies.
* Fluent in VB.Net, classic ASP and T-SQL
* In-depth knowledge of relational database design and SQL Server programming, including stored procedures, DTS packages and Administration.
* N-tier systems design and development
* Development and integration with Microsoft office applications
* Object oriented design and programming.
* .Net web application development.
* IIS administration and configuration.
* JavaScript development experience.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
* Educated to degree level in computing or Microsoft Certified Professional for .Net accreditation.
* Web Services, SOAP and .Net remoting.
* XML development experience.
* Visual C#
* Ajax
* Delphi
* Microsoft SharePoint Installation and development experience.
* Microsoft Navision
* Microsoft CRM
* Crystal Reports or SQL Reporting Services experience.
