A prestigious school based in Dudley is looking for experienced SEN teaching assistants with knowledge in ASD, Aspergers and EBD.
The school is set on acres of land with resources that are second to none, the total number on role is 59 with separate classes having around 4 - 6 pupils at a maximum, due to the severity of the needs of the pupils a high staffing ratio is required, 2:1 at any one time.
The School is a national UK charity specialising in the care of children with severe and complex learning needs and is recognised internationally for its work with children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
It also offers full time residential care and education and provision for day students.
In order to be considered for this position you must be able to demonstrate sound knowledge of SEN, in particular ASD, and have classroom based experience supporting children / pupils with SEN and Behavioural Difficulties. An NVQ Level 3 would be advantageous, however is not essential. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a keenness to learn within a specialised environment and be able to work to their own initiative, display support that it second to none and use behavioural management techniques to limit specific behaviours.
