Category Buyer/Purchaser

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Category Buyer/Purchaser to join a successful supplier to the beauty therapy and hairdressing industry.

Based at the companies head office in the West Midlands the chosen candidate will be responsible for the development of the purchasing and marketing within a nominated purchase sector/category.

The role of Category Buyer/Purchaser will involve sourcing of new products and treatments, negotiating with suppliers to secure prices and terms of business as well as managing category/product life cycles and also controlling the advertising/sales of the company's products routes to market.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level and possess a level 3 certificate in Purchasing and Supply. Proven experience in purchasing, negotiating, managing and developing a product range and knowledge of purchase ledger systems is essential for the role. You will also have strong analytical skills and problem solving skills and be target driven! Knowledge of the hair and beauty industry would be advantageous however is not essential for the right candidate.
