We only take a small number of outstanding candidates onto our Corporate Graduate Scheme each year. By doing so we ensure that successful applicants are given genuinely great experiences, one to one support, outstanding career development opportunities and real responsibility from day one of the two-year training programme.

The two-year programme is proven to develop talented individuals into Senior Managers of the future. From day one you will have real responsibility. You will undergo significant formal and informal management development and benefit from frequent reviews, an industry leading support network, and an ongoing training development.

We are interested in graduates who are looking for a career in:

General Operations Management - this is the vital link between our retail businesses and our corporate strategy. It is the role of retail operations to ensure that all of our businesses are run profitably and safely, protecting the interests of both our shareholders and our customers.
Human Resources - Providing highly motivated, well trained staff through effective selection, training and development and administrative processes.

Purchasing - Developing product and service solutions through a number of specialist commercial functions such as Food and Drink, Equipment and Services Purchasing as well as Logistics and Electronic Leisure.

Accountancy and Finance - Providing a comprehensive financial and administrative service to the business through areas such as Financial Accounting, Treasury, Management Accounting and Taxation. Our Finance scheme is CIMA accredited.

Business Change through IT - Assists the management and operations of Mitchells & Butlers to build an efficient, effective and competitive business through the application of technology and changes to business process.

Operational Marketing - Developing and implementing brand marketing and promotional strategies across our businesses and carrying out consumer research to constantly evaluate the consumer relevance of our brands.

Property Management - a wide ranging department involving 2 key areas: 
       
        Building Management - managing the maintenance, refurbishments, and conversions of brands across the estate. 
        Asset Management - covering Estate Management, Acquisitions and Portfolio Development.

Please Note: Our specific criteria for the Corporate Graduate Scheme is 320 UCAS points (to be made up from at least one A and two B's or equivalent) as well as a 2:1/1st class degree. Unfortunately, due to the high number of applications we're receiving and the limited number of places available on the Scheme we are unable to be flexible on this criteria.
