Due to workload and expansion, and an increasing order book, we are looking for experienced Design Engineers with Solidworks, SolidEdge or ProEngineer experience, ideally from an Automotive background, interested in a challenging new position.

Working for one of the world's leaders in high quality engineering components, this is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious Senior Engineer with an effective mix of technical engineering knowledge and product design skills.

As Design Engineer, your duties will include:-

*Responsible for managing new product development, concept and project work including prototype and manufacture, and the following duties:-
*Working closely with Customer Design teams to ensure designs are feasible and identifying the best methods of manufacture
*Updating design reviews, drawing control and co-ordinating with the project manager and project team
*Responsible also for mould tool design and manufacture at toolmakers
*Producing 3D models, detailing components and assembly drawings using Solidworks or Solid Edge or ProEngineer
*Providing support and advice to internal customers and department
*Managing assigned design change requests and enhancements
*Strong contribution and responsible for DV and PV assembly and testing the developed mechanical components and systems, whilst adhering to agreed BS/ISO standards

The Suitable Candidate:-

*Experienced Senior Design / Product Development Engineer
*A background in High Volume Automated Manufacturing, Precision Component manufacturing, Injection Moulding or Automotive background
*Customer Focused Engineer, confident to work closely with major OEM clients
*3D CAD experience, either Solidworks or SolidEdge or ProEngineer
*Understanding of Moldflow software and FEA
*Degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent
