We have a great opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join our client based in Coventry. Our client is within the Automotive industry and they are keen to appoint a Maintenance Engineer to maintain machinery in an orderly condition, select correct machine equipment and organise and administer the spares stock, whilst minimising maintenance costs.

Working as the Maintenance Engineer you will participate in the improvements of machine operation, production process and company procedure and supporting building services activity, you will also be involved in;
*S7 programming - breakdowns, faultfinding, improvements and archiving of back ups.
*Provide support for and resolve breakdowns on production, quality owned equipment, and machinery. Ensure that all machine documentation is updated and in the correct location.
*Production line champion, knowledge, co-ordination and liaison to improve efficiency
*Ensure that maintenance job tracking paperwork (both machine downtime and labour hours allocation) is completed correctly
*Co-ordinate and ensure the completion of allocated project work and associated administrative tasks. Provide support for others to ensure that all tasks allocated to the department are completed.
*Act as a resource, providing technical advice, support and training for others within the company
*Provide support in equipment relocations
*Ensure the completion of all Preventative Maintenance tasks
*Ensure the availability of machine spares required for completion of maintenance tasks. Ensure cost effectiveness and reduce costs where possible.
*Undertake special projects, work and tasks allocated by the Maintenance Supervisor or Group Leader
*Comply with all company policies and procedures including Health and Safety, Quality and Environment and Equal Opportunities.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or will hold an eqivalent level qualification in an Electrical/Electronics discipline and you will have PLC technician Siemens S7 experience. You will have knowledge/experience with LC automation technologies, Measuring and control technologies, Electro pneumatics, hydraulics, Standards and regulations, Basic machining and machine technologies. You will have experience with the following software; ProfiBUS system, Windows, Excel and Word.
You will be analytical, logical approach to dealing with complex and technical machinery and you will have the ability to operate independently and in a team.
It is highly advantageous that you can speak German.
