This centre will work with world class universities and international businesses based in the South West and across the UK, to develop and commercialise new technologies The combination of academic and business strengths will speed progress from laboratory to design to factory and into products. The 8500m2 state-of-the-art NCC building opened in summer 2011 at SPark, the Bristol and Bath Science Park and we require dynamic Engineers to join us in this fast paced environment!
Training
We'll encourage you to develop your skills and career by embarking on a structured two year development programme composed of four six month placements which will provide wide exposure to a broad cross-section of our engineering support teams. You will gain a variety of practical experience and be supported by a dedicated senior Engineer who will provide mentoring in order to help you shape your career within the company.
The placement areas will cover functions within each department comprising the following:
Design
Stress Analysis
Materials Science
Manufacturing Engineering
Non Destructive Engineering
Tooling Engineering
Cost Engineering
Robot Programming
What are we looking for?
For our Engineering programme you will need a minimum of a 2:1 degree in Engineering and a real passion for the industry.
Essential skills include:
· Team working and collaboration
· Proactive and innovative
· Drive and ambition
· Planning and organisational skills
· Problem solving and analytical skills
· Familiarity with CAD
