A specialist manufacturing company based in Shropshire require a proficient purchasing professional to join their team as a Graduate Buyer. This is an exciting opportunity for a degree qualified buyer to join a family owned company who are passionate about the design and manufacture of timber based products. Reporting to the Head of Purchasing, the role will focus on all aspects of the supply chain, with the aim of adding value, reducing costs and improving service offered to internal and external customers.

Key accountabilities
*Supplier and Product sourcing.
*Supplier Development - developing suppliers to ensure value added at every stage of supply chain.
*Responsible purchasing - ensuring ethical and socially responsible purchasing practice.
*Cost management - reducing all areas of waste and ensuring tight control of payment terms.
*Stock management - ensure stock levels appropriate and efficient.
*Quality management - maintain quality criteria.
Candidates will hold a strong degree and will demonstrate previous buying/purchasing/procurement experience in a commercial environment.
The successful buyer will be hard-working, organised and committed to continual development of the purchasing function.
