This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate to join an embedded software development and electronics design consultancy in Birmingham as a Hardware Design Engineer. The company successfully deliver embedded design projects for a strong portfolio of clients in the UK, Europe and the US.
The Hardware Design Engineer will work with clients to design digital microcontrollers for a wide range of devices and applications. The Hardware Design Engineer will take on electronic hardware design projects from initial concept through to the manufacturing process and final product delivery. The Hardware Design Engineer should also have an appreciation for embedded software development.
The successful candidate will be a graduate or hold a similar equivalent level qualification in an electrical or electronic engineering or related discipline. It is essential for candidates to have post-graduate experience of high speed schematic digital design in a similar role. Experience gained through a graduate placement may be considered. It would also be desirable for candidates to have an appreciation of the following: analogue design, CPLD/FPGA design using VHDL, Switched-mode power supply design, Low power design, C/ assembler software experience, EMC testing and PCB design.
