Graduate Retail Horse Riding Consultant

Do you know your Dressage Saddle from your Western Saddle? If so this may well be the role for you. This progressive sporting retailer are looking for a graduate to manage their Fishing and Angling department as a Graduate Retail Department Manager (Equestrian Pursuits).

The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to join a bespoke retailer where you will be given the responsibility for managing the Equestrian Pursuits department in its entirety, from selecting your product range, stock levels, merchandising and managing the recruitment for your department, management reporting and profit and loss management. The best way to look at it is that your department is your business. You will also provide advice and guidance to everything from weekend riders to dressage enthusiasts, advising on the best purchase for them.

The role offers excellent scope for progression and a high level of responsibility from the onset for the successful candidate, along with attractive benefits and strong training and development.

Successful applicants will hold a degree at a 2.2 classification and above, or equivalent qualification, and have a keen interest in horses, horse riding and equestrian sports. Any previous retail experience would be a distinct advantage, but is not essential. In addition strong communication skills, commercial awareness, and the drive and determination to succeed and are essential skills.

Salary: £17,000+ up to 30% bonus paid monthly + 5% contributory pension+ private healthcare
