Graduate Web Developer (ASP.Net)

This unique opportunity will allow the successful candidate to join a leading retailer, working with the Marketing Manager you will further develop our clients full e-commerce, website, develop satellite websites and other projects. Job Title: Graduate Web Developer (ASP.Net)
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £18,000-£23,000

Working as the Web Developer you will be responsible for designing, creating and implementing all changes to the existing website to increase function and performance for internal users and our customers. You will also have the following responsibilities;

*Responsibility for building satellite sites and mobile sites to target new markets
*Provide a basic IT support service internally as and when required (minimal).
*Contribute towards developing new ways/tools to target customers and generate customer visits to our site
*Contribute towards clients online marketing strategy
*Liaise with the external website design company and other agencies as required
*Monitor, update and report on sites performance regularly.
*Producing performance reports.
*Maintain our customer database.
*Customer liaison - face to face and telephone contact with customers for product or online enquiries.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline and will have previous commercial experience either gained from a work placement or post graduation. You will have strong programming skills with ASP.NET 2.0, JavaScript, SQL Server 2005, CSS 2 and XHTML. You will be a team player, self motivated with the ability to work effectively and efficiently, you will also be a creative thinker who is good at generating new ideas and can make a valued contribution to the team. Excellent communication skills are also essential along with a disciplined approach and desire to produce high quality work.

Experience of designing applications for mobile devices is desirable.
