Hardware Design Engineer

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and ambitious Hardware Design Engineer to join our client based in Luton.

Role: Hardware Design Engineer
Location: Luton
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000

Working as the Hardware Design Engineer you will be providing complete hardware controls design including layouts and schematic drawings to the appropriate industry and our client's standards and you will also be involved in;

*Review pre-sales concepts and overall system solutions and verify that solutions can be engineered to meet client requirements.
*Prepare or review the post sales 'functional design specification' so that all statutory and customer specific requirements are met.
*Prepare or review safety matrix charts to meet risk assessment, customer specification and ensure compliance with statutory obligations.
*Design of electrical layout drawings to customer or client standards.
*Design of electrical schematic drawings to customer or client standards.
*Produce material requests for all control panel and field equipment excluding panel and field cabling.
*Liaise with site installation team.
*Participate in regular project, peer and departmental team reviews.
*Participate in training opportunities and professional development as identified during regular performance appraisals.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or will hold an equivalent level qualification in an Electrical Engineering discipline and will have previous engineering experience within an Automotive or Material Handling business.

You will have a great amount of knowledge of industrial control system principles and standard approaches and controls component knowledge.
