We are currently looking for a general Humanities specialist who is keen to work in an inner city Birmingham School, at a school with excellent facilities and supportive management team.
The position is available from March 2012 and is to cover a maternity leave, up till the October half term.
You must be able to teach across the Humanities spectrum and ideally have a specialism in History as the majority of your lessons will be in one of these areas. A willingness to teach Geography and some Citizenship within KS3 would be a distinct advantage.
The school encourages all teaching staff to constantly challenge themselves inwardly to ensure that teaching standards are raised and that all students have clear expectations. You will be expected to perform the duties of a full time member of staff and take part in extracurricular activities.
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidates will be confident and have a positive approach, as well as having relevant teaching qualifications, the right to work in the UK, 2 professional teaching references from within the last 2 years and a valid CRB.
