Our client in Cambridgeshire is about to embark on a major re-evaluation and formulation of its IT Strategy. This will be a fundamental review, responding to the changing environment of a number of areas.
Delivering this will be a complex process, requiring the coordination of a number of workstreams, and will include technical and business components, encompassing:
* Strategy for universal systems (those available to everyone, such a as email)
* Business systems strategy in response to the business objectives.
* Policy areas such as security and usage monitoring.
* Common areas of strategy with the other constituent members of the Local Government Shared Service (LGSS) of which our client's IT Service is a part.
* Strategy for user access to universal and business systems.
This post will manage the project to deliver this strategy. Candidates will need to show previous of focussing on the delivery of 'strategy' rather than technical solutions.
Ideally candidates will have a public sector background with experience of shared services and a previous similar project. A strong ICT project management background is required, ideally with a project management qualification.
