Plant Manager

Plant Manager required by a global leader in pallet and container polling services based in Birmingham

The plant manager main purpose is to optimise labour, material & equipment resources to ensure the company's products are repaired to a high quality criteria and available to meet the customers' demands at budgeted cost levels

You will Ensure all Plant activity complies with current H&S legislation and is fully manned & trained within SHE & Risk guidelines. You will ensure Cost control is in place to hit Plant Cost Budget and ensure Unit Costs and activity metrics are controlled to achieve budget.

The Plant Manager will have Implementation of lean projects with experience in Operations Management and leading and driving continuous improvement and quality improvement programs.

Qualification and experience;

* Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business or equivalent
* Six Sigma Green Belt, Implementation of lean projects experience
* 5-8 years experience in Operations Management.
* Experience of leading and driving continuous improvement and Quality improvement programs.
* Experience of Budget setting and control.
* Experience of leading a large team
* Experience of goal setting and monitoring in order to achieve Objectives

The successful applicant will work well under stress and pressure, used to managing budgets, P&L, with full accountability for the site. You will need to be personable and approachable and used to working to tight deadlines and KPI's
