We are recruiting for a Production Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer to use their process improvement expertise within a successful Northamptonshire production company.
You will be required to carry out both a production improvement and production quality role.
Main Duties - Engineering
Initiate, develop and implement improvements to both current equipment and procedures to reduce equipment downtime and increase efficiency.
Assist in developing manufacturing capability through investment in new equipment / tooling / fixtures / technologies.
Take a leading role in driving forward the companies Continuous Improvement and lean manufacturing activities, encompassing Kaizen / 5S / VSM / Lean / TOC / SMED / TPM (Including reporting).
Involvement in new product design projects, ensuring DFMA best practice and introduction to manufacturing.
Be able to read, interpret and update engineering drawings utilising company standard drawing packages (Solidworks/Autocad).
Main Duties - Quality
Monitor each stage of the manufacturing process to ensure that component / instrumentation build fall within the prescribed tolerances / standards.
Perform root cause analysis of the manufacturing processes and implement actions to increase efficiency.
Assist the Quality Dept with developing quality reporting.
Carry out in process audits within all manufacturing areas.
Collect and evaluate manufacturing quality data and initiate necessary corrective actions - trend analysis / SPC / Pareto.
Benefits:
Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 08.30 to 17.15
Friday 8.30 to 14.00 (½ hour lunch
Holidays: 20 days, plus statutory holidays, increasing with length of service

Salary: Basic monthly salary with two tier Bonus structure. No overtime
