Role: Software Development Manager (Java)
Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 plus bonus of up to £10k.
Location: Coventry, Warwickshire
As a Software Development Manager, you will perform a key role within the management team and successfully support our clients business growth. Furthermore, your role will include:
*Management of a team of Software Developers working with Java, J2EE, MySQL, DB2, Python to prioritise and plan work for successful, resilient and reliable delivery on time, on specification and on budget.
*Persuade the direction the company takes for technology development
*Mentor and manage junior development staff to improve their technical skills.
*Renovate the Testing, QA and release process to improve the delivery time.
*Create an efficient system for allocating and tracking resource to projects
*Ensuring the Development department succeeds in its ambition to deliver on a range of projects.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in a relevant degree subject such as Computer Science or similar and possess great experience of project management and delivery working with Java, J2EE, MySQL, DB2, Python development. You will be a natural organiser with a proven track record in a managerial role within a development team delivering multiple projects to challenging deadlines.
