Supplier Manager required to work in Central London on a 12 month contract initially. This role will be paying £400-500 per day.
Due to the nature of the work candidates should either hold current SC clearance or be eligible to undergo.
The Supplier Manager role will involve managing the supplier to deliver effective services to the client's customers. The jobholder will manage the suppliers, including IT consumables and licensing; focusing initially on Software Licensing.
The successful candidate must be able to communicate and negotiate effectively at all levels and forge strong working relationships with suppliers and colleagues throughout IT and the commodities suppliers. A strong understanding of Service Management principles along with proven experience managing supplier relationships is essential.
The role requires a high level of supplier management, building and maintaining relationships with external parties. There is a high level of responsibility associated with this role as the jobholder will be expected to ensure that high quality IT Services are delivered by suppliers in line with the Transition programme and existing production services.

Essential
* Very strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to communicate at all levels with confidence and clarity, building long term relationships
- Ability to produce comprehensive reports and appropriate recommendations based on sound analysis
* Very strong customer focus and ability to understand customer requirements
* Extremely well organised and self-motivated
* Ability to manage several work streams in parallel and to work to tight deadlines
* Ability to influence, persuade and negotiate externally, often at key decision making levels on major issues
* Ability to resolve conflicts and deal with contractual disputes
* Understanding of IT Infrastructure/applications
* Experience of managing third party suppliers
* Indepth experience in an ITIL environment, including ITIL V3 Foundation accreditation
* Experience operating as a Service/Supplier Manager in a complex environment
Whilst not essential the following skills/experience are desirable:
* ITIL Manager/Expert
* Project management experience
