A Technical Architect is required to be based in London for an initial 6 month contract. Candidates will ideally hold current SC clearance. Candidates must be willing and eligible to undergo clearance. Candidates must have experience of Command & Control.
The Technical Architect will be responsible for the following tasks:
* Providing the technical connection between the developers and the project managers.
* Evaluating the entire project from a technical stance, guarantees that the development methods used are practical and correct. Signing off system requirements, identifies resources and estimates timelines for project completion.
* Producing technical architectures that are dependable, modifiable and scalable.
* Distilling technical projects into discrete tasks to assist in the creation of a project plan.
* Demonstrate strong applied knowledge of layered architectures, databases, reporting tools, middleware, security, monitoring and high availability systems.
* Possess knowledge of business applications and technical alternatives.
Candidates must have the following skills/experience;
* Knowledge of a broad spectrum of technologies, preferably including:
o Oracle
o Web services
o Unix Server environments
o Windows server environments
o GIS
o Systems Integration
o .NET
* Demonstrable experience in designing and delivering E2E solutions
* Demonstrable ability to provide technical leadership and expertise with suppliers
* Knowledge of real-time / mission critical systems (e.g. Command & Control, Air traffic control, Critical Banking systems
* Strong problem solving skills and good communications skills
