Technical Infrastructure Administrator

We are looking for a confident, driven and pro-active Technical Infrastructure Administrator to work at an exciting and successful software company.

Job Title: Technical Infrastructure Administrator
Salary: 24k
Location: Worcester

We are looking for candidates to be educated to degree level or will hold an equivalent level qualification in a relevant discipline and will hold a suitable Microsoft certification, such as MCP or MCSA/MCSE. You will have a proven track record in previous support/administration role (server, desktop, network etc) along with experience of administering Windows and Linux servers in a secure environment and managing Microsoft SQL and MySQL

You also will ideally have the following skills;
*Knowledge of Citrix and virtualisation technologies (advantage)
*Familiarity with Linux and Windows server platforms and associated LAN and WAN
*Good knowledge of SQL, with ability to administer SQL Database (Microsoft/MySQL)
*Windows 2000, XP and Vista knowledge (for both Client and Server aspects)
*Good familiarity of Microsoft, Linux and Unix application software
*Knowledge of network design/implementation principles
*Knowledge of Comms/Internet/Websites and associated security protocol (fire walls, AV etc)
*Knowledge of Informix-4GL, visual basic, Java utilisation and general Unix scripting
*Knowledge of Tomcat and IIS Website configuration (advantage)
*Knowledge of Citrix and virtualisation technologies (advantage)
