This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and motivated Technical Purchasing Engineer to join a leading component manufacturer within the automotive industry based in Coventry. Role: Technical Purchasing Engineer
Salary: up to £33,500 (depending on experience)
Location: Coventry, Warwickshire
As a Technical Purchasing Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
*Ensuring all Health & Safety concerns are realised and understood, and are then dealt with in a necessary manner.
*Guarantee that quality standards are achieved and manage the company Quality Management System. In addition to this, you will introduce quality control systems to support our clients processes.
*Compile performance data for reporting purposes and assessment against targets and objectives and understanding where recommendations can be made for improvement.
*Purchase Technical Support QAF analysis
*Development of supplier buyoff manuals / Ppap's
*Design & Tooling Buyoff at supplier Base and Home-line
*Stamping process concurrence and approval
*Project management of new model Supply base tooling
*Part development and quality improvement
The successful candidate will either be a degree educated or apprenticeship served engineer who can demonstrate hands on experience of high volume automotive stamping and new model introduction alongside experience of the automotive industry. You will be a natural project manager who is able to display knowledge of stamping BIW pressed parts using transfer and progression in addition to tooling design buyoff. In addition to this, candidates will benefit from knowledge of Ppap approval processes.
