This is an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Account Manager to come and join our team based in Birmingham, West Midlands. We are an independent supplier of IT hardware and software and have an extensive portfolio of corporate, public sector and education clients throughout the UK and Europe.

Job Title - Trainee Account Manager
Location - Birmingham, West Midlands
Salary - £18, 000 - £20,000 OTE £30,000

We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven 'Internal Account Manager' to join our dedicated young sales team. As part of your role you will be looking to develop new business opportunities as well as effectively manage and maintain the existing accounts.

You must possess clear communication skills (across all media) relating to the above as well as the External Sales Executive. To be able to provide regular, accurate forecasts of pipeline business to the External Sales Executive. Generate, monitor and drive forward targets to improve revenues, across all assigned accounts, to achieve individual monthly targets. Proactively inform customer base/ account set of all market and vendor information to include new products, price changes and promotions. Establish excellent business relationships with the customer across all levels/ departments to ensure maximum business opportunities and client satisfaction. To provide a high level of commercial customer service to customer base/account set. Demonstrate a deep understanding of all customer requirements as well as thinking ahead to their long term needs.

Candidates must have successful, proven, previous track record in telesales. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. We are looking for a tenacious, quick thinker who is able to respond efficiently to both internal and external demands. Any IT knowledge would be a distinct advantage. However, an ability to exhibit a strong interest/understanding in all aspects of the job and to be able to demonstrate the commitment expected within a small fast growing company is essential.

Excellent face-to-face, telephone and written communication skills. You must be able to meet deadlines and work well under pressure whist handling multiple tasks. As well as being able to manage own time to achieve objectives and daily sales targets.

All candidates must hold a degree or equivalent level qualification.
