Web Developer

Web Developer required by a professional market cleaning chemicals company based in West Bromwich.

You role will be to further develop the sales and profits of the Internet, Web based and related Sales and Marketing activities for the company and its associated companies. You will develop new web sites as agreed with the management of the company and its associated companies and customers. Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job; participate in appropriate training activities and encourage and support staff in their development and training

You will be responsible for the development of the core customer, supplier and product databases as well as maintenance of business databases e.g. websites, product records, supplier records, customer records, email records including maintenance of COSHH and other statutory documentation required on the websites.
Essential Criteria;
* A degree at 2:2 or above in an IT related subject
* Experience of designing and delivering web based content and / or internet trading websites
* ICT competency to a level appropriate for the role, including database development and management, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
* Excellent organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail
* Experience of dealing with inbound or outbound telephone calls
* Experience of customer service
* Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
* Self motivation and flexibility
* Excellent interpersonal skills including tact, discretion and diplomacy
* Able to work under pressure and often to tight deadlines
* High level of personal responsibility and initiative
* Ability and willingness to travel as part of the post on occasion
* Ability to work as part of a team, with willingness to assist in times of pressure and periodically undertake other duties as required
