Edgbaston Cricket Ground is having its very own £30 million facelift due to be completed by July next year, hoping to attract an increased number of visitors and business that could potentially lead to more jobs for local people.
In addition, the NEC Group provides an array of entertainment venues across the region that attracts millions of visitors every year. The newly developed LG Arena has seen a huge amount of success and there are plans in the pipeline to revamp the National Indoor Arena, which is sure to draw in the crowds. Alongside this, there are proposals in place for Resort World @ The NEC – an exciting entertainment complex that will feature a casino, spa, restaurants and four-star hotel, set to create more than 1,000 jobs.
Major developments like these could help to generate a wealth of job opportunities for those living in the West Midlands and show other businesses throughout the region that investment is crucial to surviving the economic downturn.
