We are looking to recruit an Internal Communications Manager to join our team based in Croydon, Surrey on an 8 month Fixed-term contract. We are a very successful public transport franchise operator, providing services for commuters, airport users, business and leisure travellers in south London, between central London and the South coast, through East and West Sussex, Surrey and parts of Kent and Hampshire.

Job Title - Internal Communications Manager
Location - Croydon, Surrey
Salary - £40,000 -50,000k pro rata

As the Internal Communications Manager your role will be to deliver an internal communications strategy to convey company initiatives to all staff and to ensure messages from the ground are fed up. To work with Corporate Relations colleagues to deliver the department's objectives.

Role and Responsibilities:

*The production of a quarterly staff magazine, regular staff briefs and on-line employee forums.
*Brief out company messages to a geographically diverse workforce.
*Develop and deliver regular internal conferences.
*Manage and develop the Intranet.
*Assist in the communication of the annual employee survey.
*Contribution to other ad hoc projects such as timetable changes, rolling stock introduction and major engineering works.
*By working to improve communication throughout the company, help the business maintain its Investor in People status.
*Work with other functions on major projects to ensure that internal communication is not forgotten and key messages and initiatives are communicated in an engaging way that can be easily understood.
*Using feedback up the information chain to help shape and guide company policies and so improve industrial relations and staff morale..
*Source and edit copy for the internal magazine, celebrating company and individual achievements, recognising best practice and using peer example to help influence customer service, and so help build passenger satisfaction and meet our business goals.
*By developing a strategy and framework for briefing company messages and initiatives develop the business as an inclusive company where everyone knows what is expected and understands their role in delivery. Co-operates with colleagues in Corporate Relations to ensure internal and external messages are aligned and that all departmental objectives are achieved.
*Maintain and develop the Intranet as a key internal communications tool.

Candidates must hold a degree or equivalent level qualification. You must have proven experience in an Internal Communications role, excellent written and oral communication skills and good organisational skills. You will also have previous experience organising events.
