Tester

Exciting opportunity for a Tester to join our client based in Worcester, West Midlands.


Job Title -Tester
Location - Worcester, West Midlands
Salary - up to £22,000

As the Software Tester your role will be to execute testing on a wide range of general insurance applications to prove accuracy and quality.

Furthermore your duties and responsibilities will include:
* Testing developed software against specified requirements.
* Accurate recording and monitoring of issues raised.
* Creation and maintenance of test documentation as required.
* Liaison with Development and Business Analysis teams to promote swift resolution of faults.
* Constantly monitoring test progress in line with release dates / plans.
*Assess faults in the live system, recreate and raise in the fault tracking system before passing to the development team for correction
*Provide QA support to the development scrum teams for the execution of tests during the development phase under the management of a scrum master
* Review test environments and processes to facilitate continuous improvement and maintenance of quality standards.
* Use of test tools and utilities.
* Provide test estimates.
* Other tasks as directed by the Team Leader

The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a Quality Assurance or Testing position and will ideally hold a degree or equivalent level qualification, ISEB or ISTQB Foundation Certificate in software testing. Candidates will also benefit from experience within an insurance or broker environment. You will have excellent written/verbal communication skills along with strong organisational and interpersonal skills. It is beneficial that you have knowledge of XML and SQL Server. It is highly advantageous that you have previous experience working in an Agile environment and you have experience using automated test tools.
